Dr. Mathew Thakur

A professor of Radiology and Radiation Oncology at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia Dr Thakur is also the Director of the laboratories of Radiopharmaceutical research and Molecular Imaging. He obtained his MS and PhD degrees from the University London, England. His research has been focused on developing radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic applications. He holds 20 granted patents and serve on the editorial board for 14 journals.


Dr Thakur is well recognized by his peers for his contributions to nuclear medicine and molecular imaging.  Among his 9 national and International awards, Dr. Thakur received the Society of Nuclear Medicine’s highest honor, the Benedict Cassen award. He is President of three international societies, including the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging.
